We work closely with you to assess economy, efficiency and/or effectiveness. This may include: the adequacy of an internal control structure or specific internal controls; the extent to which resources have been managed economically or efficiently; and the extent to which activities have been effective.

The terms “performance audit” and “performance review” are predominantly applied in the public sector. In the private sector these audits and reviews are commonly referred to as “operational audits” and “operational reviews”.
